The foundations of Luqman’s sermon to his son through Surat Luqman

Abstract

This research talks about: the parental dialogue between Luqman and his son - an objective study - and the research aims to: highlight the educational Qur’anic topics in the principles and values contained in Surat Luqman that are indispensable in education and reform, and display the interest of the Qur’an in the commandments of Luqman the Wise to his son, that commandment that It represents an Islamic educational model of a righteous, inspiring man, as his will included educational principles in faith, worship, morals, and behavior, and benefiting from the commandments of Luqman the Wise in the field of good education and good role models, and the necessity of applying them in our present time. The researcher concluded that most of the hadiths related to our master Luqman, peace be upon him, and attributed to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, are weak hadiths, and that it is necessary to take into account the great commandments revealed in the verses of the Qur’an, pause for contemplation and reflection on them, and then apply them and make them practical commandments on the ground of reality. It also recommends paying attention to the Holy Qur’an and its topics and commandments, which touch the lived reality, and which contain the well-being of humanity and human happiness in every time and place.
