Abstract

“ Constructing a Positive Cultural Paradigm in the Essays of May Ziadeh” is an academic work by Professor Ahmed Qasem Asham, Professor of Modern Literature and Criticism in the Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Arts, Taiz University This research aimed to derive positive cultural patterns in the articles of the writer May Ziadeh and analyzes how they are crafted. The study concluded that her articles are rich with numerous positive cultural patterns. Thus, this research presents a new perspective in the field of cultural criticism, suggesting that cultural patterns are not always negative and harmful, as stated by Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghadhami, a pioneer in this field, and other Arab critics who followed his lead. Instead, there are also positive cultural patterns present in both poetry and prose.
