Abstract

Art had a great role in the lives of Arab and Western peoples, as it was influenced and influenced by it, and it recorded its cultural and civilizational features in works of art that express those cultures. Like other societies, the Saudi society is a society with its own arts and various traditional and handicrafts. Perhaps one of the main reasons for the development of the plastic movement in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is to send a group of students and teachers to the cities and capitals of the world to study in general and to study the arts in particular, to see all that is new in this field. The works of the pioneers of plastic art in Saudi Arabia reflect the use of Western schools; As they dazzled the world with their artistic paintings, not only at the local level, but also at the global level, where the artist Abdel Halim Radwi was one of the pioneers of these artists in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is the subject of our study, as the study aimed to identify the works of the artist Abdel Halim Radwi to activate the role of art in highlighting Saudi Arabian identity and documented artwork. This study also used the descriptive analytical method. The study reached results, the most important of which was that dealing with folklore through continuous experimentation is the way to reach innovative innovative approaches that keep pace with international plastic arts. Where the artist Abdel Halim Radwi assured us through his works that the meaning of contemporary is not to abandon reality, but to drop contemporary, and modern plastic methods on the ground in which the artist lives, without resorting to cultural alienation. Access to the global needs to adhere to identity, culture and civilization. The study recommended the importance of using experimentation in design to obtain diverse and innovative results, and the need to link between the needs of daily life, the requirements of the environment, and the data of heritage in artistic work, to reach artistic works close to the community that express it.
