Abstract

The research aims to clarify the status of Imam Al-Jassas in the Hanafi doctrine, and discussing the classification that degrades his status among scholars in his doctrine. The research also aims to construct the jurisprudential faculty of the reader by tracing the jurisprudential approach of Imam Al-Jassas in his influence by others, and his influence on others inside and outside the Hanafi doctrine. The study included an introduction, a preface, three sections, and a conclusion. The introduction included a statement of the research problem and its objectives, previous studies, and the research plan. The introduction included Imam Al-Jassas introducing. In the first section: his Imamate and his rank in ijtihad and the most important features of his jurisprudence. In the second section: his influence by others. In the third section: His Influenced on others. In this research, the reacher relied on the inductive and descriptive approach. The study reached results, the most important of which are: that Imam Al-Jassas had a prominent role in the development of the Hanafi doctrine, and had a firm footing in ijtihad, according to the testimony of the senior scholars who witness to his imamate and leadership in the doctrine. His opinions are of value and consideration among the senior Hanafi doctrine.
