Its topics are d ealt with in a critical and analytical manner. The main problem in the research is as follows: What are the Epistemological determinants in studying the West? How did you contribute to its formation and development? What are its implications in contemporary Western reality? The research was divided into three major sections, through which we aimed to identify the philosophical and scientific Epistemological determinants that shaped the West and its civilization, while criticizing, discussing, and demonstrating their implications in the reality of Western civilization. In our research, we have used the following methods: the investigative method, the analytical method, and the critical method, to reveal the shortcomings of these determinants and the limitations of their cognitive and cultural paradigm. The research concluded the following results: The need in our study of the West to control the Epistemological and methodological determinants that shaped the West and its civilization, in order to understand the West, interpret its practices and trends, move to criticize and evaluate it, correct its mistakes, and reveal its mistakes. The research revealed that modern and contemporary science in the West was mixed with materialistic philosophical visions in particular, as most of its theories began to lean in this direction by centering around man and his desires. Science, especially in its applications and practices, was employed within this understanding and cognitive paradigm.
