Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of Emotional Regulation to optimism and Pessimism among Tafila Technical University and a simple random sample of (412) male and female students was selected, the emotional regulation scale (Esleim,2017) and optimism and pessimism scale (Shaheen,2021) were used. The results of the study showed that the level of emotional regulation for members of the study sample was the average level and the level of optimism was high, and the level of pessimism was lower. There are statistically significant differences depending on the gender variable in the level of emotional regulation depending males, and there are no statistically significant differences in the level of emotional regulation depending on the college variable (scientific, humanistic). The study recommended programs that would improve students’ emotional regulation skills.
