The study aimed to identify the levels of reading comprehension, self-efficacy in mathematics, attitudes towards it, and performance in the quantitative section of the general aptitude test among third-year secondary school students in the general track in the city of Arar in the General Administration of Education in the Northern Border Region, as well as to reveal the nature of the relationship. The correlation between the three factors and the students’ performance in the test, and the predictive ability of these factors with the students’ performance in the quantitative section of the general aptitude test. The study used the descriptive correlational approach, and the study sample consisted of (165) regular students, The results showed that the level of students’ performance in the quantitative section of the general aptitude test was above average, while reading comprehension was average, and self-efficacy in mathematics and the attitude toward it was high. The results of the study also found that there was a positive, moderate, and significant correlation between students’ performance in the quantitative section of the aptitude test and each of the three factors. The three factors also contribute positively to predicting students’ performance in the aptitude test, as the F-ratio for the regression analysis of variance was (46.551).Downloads
