Abstract

This study aimed to identify of awareness about the Concepts of the digital citizenship among female students in the first year common at King Saud University. The study using the descriptive methodology, and create a questionnaire consisting (42) phrases distributed on the nine axes of digital citizenship, which was arbitrated and calculated validity before distributed to randomly selected (367) female students. The results of the study have found that the degree of awareness of the female students in the first year common at King Saud University to the concepts of digital citizenship is high, there are differences between members in (digital rights and responsibilities, digital health) by specialization, and there are differences between members in (digital literacy, digital health, digital security) by the hours of Internet usage. The study recommended the following: Inclusion of courses to develop digital citizenship in the programs in the first year common, and work to promote the digital culture of students, training faculty members about the digital citizenship, and sensitizing parents and students about the digital citizenship and the correct ways to use the digital devices.
