The Effectiveness of a Program Based on Divergent Thinking in Developing Creative Reading Skills and Attitudes Toward Reading among Eighth Grade Pupils in Yemen

The research aimed to identify the effectiveness of the program based on divergent thinking in developing creative reading skills and the attitude Toward Reading among Eighth Grade Pupils in Yemen. The study group consisted of a group of Eighth Grade Pupils in Yemen from the academic year (2022-2023). The researcher used (19) creative reading skills distributed on four main domains: fluency, flexibility, originality, and enrichment with details. The researcher also used a test to measure these skills, by applying it before and after implementing the program. The researcher also used a scale consisted of (37) items to measure their attitude towards reading. The instruments validity and reliability have been verified. The main results indicated that a positive effect of the program based on divergent thinking strategies in developing creative reading skills and their attitude towards reading.Downloads
