The current study aims at explaining the effects of moral defects in deviation from the correct doctrine and how to fix that. Additionally, the study aims at highlighting these effects, warning of what causes deviation and extremism in the right doctrine, and explaining that deviation in morals and behavior is not consistent with the right doctrine. Negative morals have dire effects on the individual and society, and are represented in many forms, including: destroying religion and true belief. This study contained an introduction, three body parts, and a conclusion. The first part was dedicated to define the terms of the study title of the research. The second part presented the disadvantages of morals in deviating from the right belief. The third part explained the effective and beneficial treatment for these disadvantages. The study concluded that there is a correlation between morals and belief, as morals are necessary for the strength of the belief and its expanse. The correct belief gives rise to good morals, and the noble and virtuous morals that Islam encourages have an effect on a person’s adherence to the right belief. However, negative morals have a great effect in deviating from the correct belief. Among the effects of moral defects is the distortion of the truth of Islam, exposing it to criticism, preventing others from embracing it, creating division among the Islamic nation, holding despair of God’s mercy, defects in the hearts, lack of steadfastness in the right belief, and other effects. The study offered some remedies including the need to considering the greatness of the Creator, making sure to follow a good example, obliging one's self and accustoming it to virtuous morals, and other remedies, which play a role a reason for steadfastness in the right belief, consolidating and having that it in speech, work, and belief.Downloads
