Causes and effects of the migration of skilled workers from educational institutions in South Al Batinah Governorate, Sultanate of Oman

Abstract

This research aims to study the causes of the migration of educational efficiencies and its impact on the performance of the educational institution in the South Al Batinah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The researcher used the descriptive approach, which is considered appropriate to the nature of the research and its objectives. The researcher used a questionnaire of (47) items to collect data on the research variables. The tool was applied to a stratified random sample of (308), and statistical analyzes were conducted in SPSS. To evaluate the validity and reliability of the data, the analysis conducted content validity, peripheral comparison validity, and internal consistency validity (Pearson correlation coefficient). To measure the stability of the study tool, Cronbach's Alpha was used. In addition, the study used arithmetic means, standard deviation, frequencies, sample trend, percentages, and a two-variance test to analyze the results of the study. The results of the study revealed negative effects resulting from the migration of educational efficiencies on educational institutions and the quality of their performance. The study also found that there are factors causing the migration of educational talent from the educational institution due to political, economic, social, and organizational reasons, coupled with incentives for migration in institutions that attract efficiencies. The study also found that there is no relationship between the migration of educational talents and its impact on the performance of educational institutions due to the variable of gender and academic qualification. The study recommended several recommendations to officials in the Ministry of Education in the Sultanate of Oman.
