Creative Thinking in Light of the Level of Cognitive Dissonance among Female Students at Qassim University

This study aimed to identify the level of creative thinking in light of the level of cognitive dissonance among female students at Qassim University. It also sought to understand the level of Cognitive Dissonance, Creative Thinking, among the sample participants. To achieve this, The Figurative Creative Thinking Scale (B) was developed by Torrance (Torrance, 1990) and standardized by Al-Shara (1428) was used. and The cognitive dissonance scale developed by Cassel et al. (2001) and translated by Al-Adamat (2017) was used, To collect data from the study sample of (423) female students from Qassim University in both scientific and theoretical colleges, who were selected randomly, a descriptive method was employed, and the results showed that, The level of cognitive dissonance among female students at Qassim University was found to be moderate, The level of creative thinking among female students at Qassim University was found to be low, There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (=0.05) in flexibility capacity favoring individuals with high cognitive dissonance, while no statistically significant differences were found. in terms of originality capacity, fluency capacity, and detail capacity.Downloads
