The need increases day after day to review a lot of methods for instilling values, and views are coming closer between schools of psychology and behavior in one hand and the guidance of the Prophet - may Alllah bless him and grant him peace - in the other hand to suggest solutions for values-related issues we are facing as a result of the modern civilization. The relation between values and current situation is extremely complex and faced by unprecedented challenges such as technology globalization and cultural exchanges, which certainly affected the issues related to education, behavior, and values, requiring more research in the field of instilling values in a dynamically ever-changing environment and how to enforce values to face these challenges. By referring to the Prophet's guidance through studying this Hadith as a specific example of the Prophet's methodology in instilling and enforcing values I have found that several methods of instilling and enforcing values addressed in the educational literature have been used by the Prophet in this particular Hadith, and these are:
- This Hadith addressed five methods for instilling values and four methods for enforcement.
- Among values instilling methods: defining the value gap, and working on the area of weakness while relying on the rest of the components to bridge the intended gap, utilization of the situation, dialogue & questions, logical persuasion, and emotional arousal.
- Among values enforcement methods: verbal enforcement, sensory enforcement, enforcement by containment, and enforcement by trust.
