The Role of Social Media Networking (whatsApp) in Teaching “Support of Education Technology Course” for Students of the Faculty of Education, Khawlan, Sana'a University

Abstract

Social media networks are used in many fields including supporting and strengthening the teaching and learning processes. These networks are of great importance for the student to continuously communicate with their peers and with thier teachers. WhatApp is one of the most popular and widely used mobile social programs in the world. The aim of this study is to identify the role of social media networking in supporting, promoting and facilitating the learning processes in Technology Education. A questionnaire consisting of three parts was distributed to a sample of (140) male and female students selected randomly from level-four students in the College of Education, Sana'a University.

   The results have shown that there is a great role of Social Media   Networks(WhatsApp) in supporting the educational processes. The study has suggested many recommendations including: activating the use of whatsApp as an education environmental of the learning
