The population of the study consists of all families of children with autism spectrum disorder and normal individual in the Asir region during the year (1442-1443). The sample of the study includes (150) families. The researcher has used the descriptive survey method as a method for the study, and she used the personal data form and the quality-of-life scale “abbreviated form” as tools for collecting the data of the study. The researcher concludes these results: The quality of life of the families of children with autism spectrum disorder in Asir region is medium with a percentage of 68.8%, whereas it is good with a percentage of 18.8%. However, it is low with a percentage of (12.5%). There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05 a) between the mean of the level of quality of life among families of children with autism spectrum disorder and normal children due to the variable of the child's gender, in favor of the families of females with autism spectrum disorder. The study has recommended to establish programs to train parents for children with autism spectrum disorder to help them manage the behavioral problems associated with the disorder.Downloads
