Functional Hegemony and its Relationship to Performance Quality for a Sample of Saudi University Female Employees: Field Study

The study aimed to identify the degree of practicing Functional Hegemony and its relationship to the quality of performance for a sample of female employees of Umm Al-Qura University and Jazan according to the following variables: (university, academic qualification, and years of experience) The Correlational Descriptive Approach. The study population reached (1301) individuals, (905) administrative employees from Umm Al-Qura University, and (396) administrative employees from Jazan University. The study sample consisted of (491) female employees from Umm Al-Qura University and Jazan during the first semester of the academic year 1442 AH. The questionnaire was used as a study tool. Among the most important results of the study is that the degree of practicing Functional Hegemony was (very low), and the degree of quality of performance was (high). There is a negative correlation between Functional Hegemony and the quality of performance among a sample of female employees at Umm Al-Qura and Jazan University. There are statistical differences between the average female employees' responses about the total degree of the exercise of Functional Hegemony and the level of quality of performance according to university. The differences were in favor of Jazan University.Downloads
