This study aimed: to highlight the contemporary orientations in educational research, which can be benefited from in developing the reality of the educational foundations research, extrapolating the research reality in the field of educational foundations, and developing a suggested perception for developing the reality of the educational foundations research in the light of contemporary orientations. This descriptive, analytical survey study used the "documentary method", through: a survey of educational research literature, a survey of the latest reports of "UNESCO" as one of the international organizations, and the Kingdom's Vision of 2030 as a future vision, to extrapolate their contemporary research orientations; In addition to the inductive exploratory strategy. An open electronic questionnaire was also directed to (24) experts in the field of educational foundations at the national and Arab levels, with the aim of revealing their perceptions of contemporary orientations in educational foundations research. In addition, (141) research papers on the international journals with the highest impact coefficients were analyzed during the years (2020, 2021, 2022). Based on these methodological procedures, a suggested perception was developed to develop the reality of the educational foundations research, through: setting requirements or methodological procedures for applying contemporary orientations, and proposing a research map of some topics to which these procedures can be applied.Downloads
