Reality of Enhancing the Teaching of Social Studies through the Chat GPT Application from the Perspective of Social Studies Teachers in Asir Region

The research aims to identify the reality of enhancing the teaching of Social Studies through the Chat GPT application from the perspective of Social Studies teachers in Asir region. The research used a descriptive approach as it suits its objectives, and the study sample consisted of 119 female teachers of Social Studies in Asir region for the intermediate stage. For data collection, a 19-item questionnaire distributed across three domains was used. The research results showed a high desire among teachers to know and understand Chat GPT and how to use it in teaching. As for the challenges facing the use of Chat GPT, there was a significant lack of awareness of the negative aspects of using Chat GPT. One of the most important recommendations of the research is raising awareness among teachers about the importance of employing various artificial intelligence applications in the educational process, clarifying their ethics, and addressing their challenges.Downloads
