Abstract

     This study aims to identify the extent of the contribution of the supervisory performance system to develop the educational supervisors in public education schools in Khamis Mushait Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study has followed the descriptive analytical approach. The questionnaire has been used as a tool for data collection after verifying its validity and reliability. It has been distributed to a sample of (150) educational supervisors and teachers in public education schools in Khamis Mushait Governorate. After analyzing the data statistically using the SPSS program, the results of the study has shown that the supervisory performance system contributes greatly to develop the educational supervisors in public education schools in Khamis Mushait Governorate. That happens via motivating learners and encouraging them to exchange experiences among them, which leads to their professional growth. The results also have shown that through supervisory performance, teachers are provided with teaching methods appropriate to the requirements of the teaching situation, and teachers are trained to use modern technological aids.

  In addition, the results have shown that through the supervisory performance system, the qualitative needs of teachers are revealed, which helps the supervisory performance system to provide training courses and create the appropriate educational environment for training new teachers and developing their capabilities. All of that is positively reflected on the classroom performance of teachers within the classroom.

 The study has recommended the need to provide financial and moral support to educational supervisors and to overcome the obstacles they face, and the need to develop procedural solutions to reduce educational supervision problems and obstacles.
