Abstract

The present study aims to identify the human capacity development of social workers in the light of the Human Capacity Development Program 2030. The study relied on the analytical descriptive curriculum and took a sample of 49 faculty members of the Faculty of Social Service Princess Noura bint AbdulRahman University and to collect data, the researcher designed the e-questionnaire as a tool for study, and the study found that there was consent among members of the sample study to the values that a social worker must have for the development of human capabilities, one of the most prominent of which is (Promotion of the values of centrism and tolerance, as well as promotion of the values of equality among members of society and opposition to discrimination, as well as promotion of the values of mastery and discipline). There is also agreement among the study members on the future skills needed to develop the capacity of the social worker to adapt to the changing requirements of the current and future labour market, where higher thinking skills come first, followed by social and emotional skills, and finally practical and physical skills come as the least future skills needed to develop the social worker's capacity to adapt to the changing requirements of the current and future labour market. There is also approval among members of the study sample for activities that promote entrepreneurship and continuous education of the social service. The most important of these activities are (the development of practical and applied teaching methods to develop entrepreneurship skills, as well as the use of the private sector in professional development, as well as the design and implementation of development programs). The study also recommended enhancing its future skills, which would contribute to the development of the social worker's capabilities, and the need for social workers to receive training courses and workshops that enhance their ability to respond to the requirements of the current and future labour market.
