The study aimed to identify the obstacles that face the social worker when dealing with the hospital administration, the medical team, the patient and his family, and to identify proposals that help the social worker in facing these obstacles to develop a proposed vision in government hospitals in the city of Jeddah. Data The study sample consisted of social workers, and their number reached (101) male and female social workers, and the study reached many results, the most prominent of which are: lack of interest in the role of the social worker in the medical institution, the weakness of the capabilities available to the social worker in medical institutions, the lack of a fixed budget for social work In the medical institution, assigning the social worker to work outside the scope of his work, the heart patients' lack of understanding of the role of the social worker, which leads to ignoring him, the heart patient's feeling that the role of the social worker is not important, and among the proposals that the study reached, the most important of which are: creating an appropriate collective climate inside the hospital for heart patients Providing places in the hospital for heart patients to practice group activities, allocating an office for the social worker to conduct interviews and adhere to the principle of confidentiality with heart patients. Intensive care, supporting the medical social service departments with a sufficient number of social workers, providing all financial, material and moral resources for the social service department and the palliative care department.Downloads
