Abstract

This study aimed to know the readability of the textbook "My Arabic Language", Seventh Grade, Primary Education, Republic of Yemen.

   To achieve the aim of the study, three tests (to fill in blank) from different topics  had been prepared using (CLOZE)  method .from the text book to measure the level of readability.Tests were distributed to 40 students, males and females in Abi Musa Al-Ash’ari School, Al-Shamayatain District. The results of the study have shown that the students’ performance with regard to the readability of the textbook is in dividually at the average of ( 24.93) at(83%)  by the examiners which is (24); which equals (80%).

   Therefore ,that  indicates the text book is  suitable  regarding with readability. Moreover, the results have  shown  statistical difference among  students levels   on the text book readability  related to sex difference and in the favor of  the females.
