Abstract

This study aimed to identify the development of school administration performance in public education in the Qassim region in light of the requirements of digital transformation, and to identify the challenges facing public school principals in the Qassim region in the context of digital transformation, and to identify the requirements necessary to develop the performance of public school principals in the Qassim region in the context of digital transformation, and to build a proposed vision for developing the performance of public school principals in light of the requirements of digital transformation. The study used the descriptive survey method, and the Delphi method was used with a purposive sample of specialized experts. The study reached the most important results, the most important of which were that the most prominent organizational obstacles were represented in the lack of adoption in the Ministry of Education, and the weakness of the administrative powers granted to learning departments and school principals, while the most prominent material obstacles were the limited and insufficient budgets of schools, and the lack of funding sources other than government funding for schools, and the most prominent human obstacles were represented in the weakness of the competencies necessary for school principals in line with the digital transformation. The study also reached the most important requirements for digital transformation, and in light of that, the study presented a proposed vision for implementing digital transformation for schools in public education schools, and the study presented a number of recommendations.
