About the Journal:

     Humanities and Educational Sciences Journal is an indexed peer-reviewed paper and electronic journal. It has the International Classification Numbers: (ISSN: 2617-5908) for the printed version, and (ISSN: 2709-0302) for the electronic version. It is issued periodically, professionally, and independently, in accordance with approved international standards.

     The journal is concerned with publishing authentic research papers in educational sciences and humanities in both Arabic and English, produced by researchers inside and outside the university, which have never been published before. Moreover, the journal receives abstracts of the researches after viva voce.

Journal Vision:

     The vision of the journal is to achieve excellence, quality, and competition at the national and international levels for the publication of scientific research in the field of humanities and educational sciences in Arabic and English as a duty of Taiz University in sponsoring scientific research.

Journal Mission:

     The Journal of Humanities and Educational Sciences at Taiz University, Turbah Branch seeks to publish authentic scientific research by adhering to the standards and ethics of scientific publication via a clear policy to serve researchers and society.

Objectives of the Journal:

The journal aims at achieving the following:

  1. Publishing authentic educational, psychological and human researches and studies to serve the society and solve its problems.
  2. The journal is to be a scientific reference for human, educational and psychological researchers at the local, regional and global levels.
  3. Publishing reviews and synopses of books, scientific theses and dissertations after they have been academically approved in the field of humanities and educational sciences.
  4. Enhancing the development of educational, psychological and human sciences via the findings of theoretical and practical researches.
  5. Achieving a high impact factor locally and in the Arab world and being a tool for publishing authentic and qualified researches.
  6. Promoting scientific research in the field of educational, psychological and human sciences.

Journal Policy:

 A- Papers Submission:

  1. Papers are to be submitted via the journal's website or via email, and the date of reception is determined on the research.
  2. The researcher submits a written undertaken signed by him / her stating that the research has not been previously published or not submitted for publication elsewhere, till reviewing is finished and the research has been published by the journal.
  3. The editorial board of the journal evaluates the research according to the norms of the journal, and its approved template before sending it to reviewers, and if there are some insufficiencies, the researcher is notified to do what is required.
  4. Sending the research that is worthy reviewing to two expert reviewers in the same specialization in a confidential manner. In case, one of the reviewers rejects the research and the other accepts the research after modification, the research is sent to a third reviewer to decide on the matter either to be published after modification or to be rejected.
  5. After the procedures of reviewing, the research is sent back to the researcher. The researcher is notified to make the required alterations according to the scientific approach of research promotion or scientific production.
  6. After making the alterations by the researcher, they are reviewed by the editor-in-chief of the journal, and presented to the reviewing committee for the second time.
  7. In case, the researcher makes the required alterations, a certificate of acceptance for publication is sent to the researcher, specifying the date of alteration and the date of publication, and this is notified at the very beginning of the text of the research.
  8. The research is numbered and placed in the journal template and is ready for publication.
  9. The journal is published electronically, then in paper, and a complete electronic copy of the journal is sent to the researcher. Besides, a copy of the research is sent with the introduction of the journal as an electronic template copy, and the journal is uploaded on the journal website. The electronic copy is uploaded on Taiz University website. It is circulated to the various publishing periodicals.
  10. The journal researches are uploaded on Google Scholar.
  11. In the case, the researcher does not adhere to the terms and conditions of the scientific publishing of the journal, or does not adhere to the ethics of scientific research, or the research is not new or authentic, it is rejected by the editorial board of the journal or by the reviewing committee. Reasons of rejection are mentioned too.
  12. The journal investigates regularly if there is plagiarism in the submitted researches and  papers

B- Open Access:

     The Journal of Humanities and Educational Sciences allows free access without financial, legal or technical barriers. This is after it is uploaded directly on the journal's website and all issues on the various publishing periodicals and Taiz University website. Any visitor or researcher is allowed to read, download, and copy or quote from the journal's content. Readers and researchers should do so according to the ethics of scientific research.

C- Correction and Withdrawal Policy:

  1. If a research has been published and uploaded to the journal's website and a sound error was discovered, the research can be corrected by withdrawing the previous version in which the error occurred and adding the amended version.
  2. If there is a documented material evidence of plagiarism, repeated publication, or violation of scientific integrity, or to endanger the journal’s reputation of scientific integrity, the editorial board of the journal may consider withdrawing the research paper from the journal’s website.
  3. The existence of evidence that there is a major scientific error that may nullify the findings of the research.
  4. The author, then, is notified of the final decision regarding the withdrawal, along with other relevant authorities, if needed.
  5. The withdrawal statement will be declared later on the journal's website.

D- License and Publication rights:

     The Journal of Humanities and Educational Sciences is an open access journal for full access to all the contents of published researches which are licensed to read, download, share, copy and reuse it in whole or in part without permission from the journal or the author according to the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license and according to the ethics of scientific research in quotation and citation without any financial reward. The author retains the rights to authorship and copyright.

E- Publication Fees:

    The journal is affiliated to a governmental institution, i.e. Taiz University. It does not receive any financial support, so the journal is self-financed by paying fees which are (200) dollars for researchers from outside the country as expenses for reviewing and electronic and paper publication.
