The study aimed to develop the skills of understanding the Qur'anic text and the level of awareness of the values of moderation and tolerance among middle school students, and to identify the impact of using a proposed teaching program based on the meanings of Quranic verses in the Islamic studies course in this regard, and for this purpose, the study adopted the blended curriculum that combines the quantitative and qualitative methods, and the quasi-experimental approach by designing the two groups (control and experimental), The study included (60) students in the second grade of the middle stage of Abdulmohsen Al-Othaim Middle School in Al-Qassim Region, divided equally. The researcher prepared a list of the skills of understanding the Qur'anic text, a test to measure it, a measure of the level of awareness of the values of moderation and tolerance, and the educational treatment materials represented in (the general framework of the program based on the meanings of Quranic verses, the student's book, and the teacher's guide to teaching it). The results of the study concluded the effectiveness of the proposed teaching program based on the meanings of Quranic verses in the Islamic Studies course and its great impact on the development of the skills of understanding the Qur'anic text and the level of awareness of the values of moderation and tolerance among middle school students.Downloads
