The present study aimed to investigate the impact of using digital educational programs on the development of reading among first-grade students in Taiz City. The researcher adopted a quasi-experimental design with two groups (experimental and control). The study sample consisted of 60 students (30 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group)، all aged seven years. The researcher employed two instruments: a test and an observation checklist، in addition to the digital educational program itself. The findings revealed statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level between the mean scores of the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test، indicating improvement in reading and writing skills. Furthermore، statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level were found between the post-test and follow-up test scores of the experimental group، confirming the sustained effect of the program. The study recommended generalizing the use of digital educational programs across all stages of basic education due to their positive impact on developing linguistic and numerical skills. It also emphasized the importance of training first-grade teachers to design and implement interactive digital lessons that foster active learning، and encouraging parents to support their children’s learning at home through digital educational programs to further enhance foundational skills.Downloads
