The Practice of communication skill pursued by kindergarten leaders

Abstract

The current study aimed to investigate the reality of kindergarten leaders practicing communication skills in the work environment from the teachers' point of view, reveal the challenges that hinder kindergarten leaders when they communicate in the work environment from the teachers' point of view, make suggestions that can contribute to development of methods of kindergarten leaders practicing communication skills in the work environment from the teachers' point of view, and investigate the statistically significant differences in the responses of the sample members according to variables of (qualification–years of service). The study population consisted of (407) female kindergarten teachers (governmental) north of Riyadh, The study sample included 81 female teachers, at a rate of (20%) Of the population. The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach as the study approach, and relied on the questionnaire as the study instrument. The study reached several results, the most important being: that "the reality of kindergarten leaders practicing communication skills in the work environment" came with a (high) degree from the sample's point of view; "the challenges that hinder kindergarten leaders when they communicate in the work environment" came with a (medium) degree from the sample's point of view; and there are no statistically significant differences, at (0.05) significance level, in the responses of the sample members according to variables of qualification – years of service.
