Abstract

The current study aims to reveal the effectiveness of employing STEAM in the development of lateral thinking among fifth-grade students. The experimental curriculum has been used. The sample of the study consists of (60) female students from the fifth grade basic in Gaza. The lateral thinking test has been prepared by researchers to achieve the study's aim.  The results have shown statistically significant differences at the indicative level (0.01=α) between the average of grades of the experimental group students and the controlling group students in the Post test of the lateral thinking in favour of the experimental group. There is an effectiveness of the educational environment. The study has recommended the need to pay attention to this method with all kinds of thinking in the educational process and preparing educational training courses for teachers to use this method in the educational process.
