The Level of Knowledge of the Geography Department Students of the Nature of their Specialization and its Relation to Other Variables at the College of Education, Seiyun University

Abstract

     This study aims to identify the level of knowledge of the Geography department students at College of Education, Seiyun University of the nature of their scientific specialization and its relation to some other variables. In order to achieve these objectives, a test consisting of (40) questions has been designed, and applied to a sample of (43) male and female students. The study has concluded that the level of knowledge of the study sample of the nature of their scientific specialization is medium, and it is closer to low. The study also has found that there is no relationship between the variables of the students' gender, and their level of knowledge of the nature of their scientific specialization. However, it has been revealed that there is a relation between the marital status (being single) and the level of knowledge of the nature of the specialization, specifically in the field of geographical research methods.
