The current study aimed to determine the level of mental habits among bilingual and monolingual students, and to examine statistically significant differences in the level of mental habits attributed to the variables of language and gender and the interaction between them. The sample consisted of (80) male and female students, (40) bilingual students, half of whom were male and half of whom were female, and (40) male and female students from monolingual schools, half of whom were male and half of whom were female. A scale prepared by the researcher was used, consisting of seven dimensions. The results also indicated that the level of mind habits among bilingualsand monolingual was "average". The study also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in mind habits attributed to language, except for the dimensions of "metacognitive thinking" and "permanent readiness to learn", and the differences were in favor of monolinguals. The results also showed statistically significant differences in mind habits in all dimensions except for "metacognitive thinking". Attributable to gender, in favor of females. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences attributed to the interaction between language and gender in all dimensions of mind habits except for metacognitive thinking, questioning, and problem solving.
