The Indefinite in the Context of Gratitude: A Theoretical and Applied Study in Surahs Al-Baqarah, Aal Imran, and An-Nisa

Abstract

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his family and companions. After that. The field of this research, the indefinite noun in the context of gratitude, appears in explaining the knowledge of what the indefinite noun indicates and revealing its secrets in the context of gratitude through Surat Al-Baqarah, Al-Imran, and An-Nisa. The research came in an introduction, four topics, and a conclusion. The first topic includes: the defining of terms of the title. The second topic: the indefinite noun in the context of gratitude in terms of generality and specificity according to the commentators. The third topic: a theoretical study of the indefinite noun in the context of gratitude. The fourth topic: the indefinite noun in the context of gratitude in the legislation of the punishment of retaliation. The research followed the objective inductive method, and the conclusion came to include a number of results, including: the attention of commentators, ancient and modern, to the rule of the indefinite noun in the context of gratitude, and using it to explain the meaning of the verse, and preferring the sayings, and extracting the subtleties and benefits from the verse, and the extent of the abundance of evidence for this rule in all aspects of life, belief, worship, morals, manners, and jihad... Which indicates the comprehensiveness of the Holy Quran, and its consideration of the interests of all servants in this world.
