Abstract

The research examined the study of (difference in diversity and contrast between scholars - a systematic explanatory study in Surat Al-Anam) in twelve issues. The research aimed at gathering the most explanatory contentious issues in Surat Al-Anam, explaining the difference type in them, arranging them according to their advent in Surat, studying the scholars’ differences, showing their status after equalization, and knowing the preferences' bases used by scholars in their words’ preferences, which apperared through their evidences and arguments.

The study concluded to the following results:

  • The scholar must rely on the preferences' bases to distinguish between the difference in diversity and contrast.
  • The scholar must strive to reconcile words, if no conflict appeared between them.
  • The words of revelation must be based on the truth rather than the metaphor when there was a difference.
  • We should present, when there were different words in interpretation that can't be combined, what was proven in Sahih over others, what the context of the verses agreed with over it did not agree with, and what the majority of scholars said over others.
  • Benefits of difference between the scholars include enrichment of the verse meaning, and highlighting rhetorical miracles in the Quran.
