This study aimed to assess the level of efficiency of vocational programs and functional skills for individuals with intellectual disabilities from the perspective of workers in daycare centers in Riyadh. The study sample consisted of (150) male and female employees in daycare centers in Riyadh. Two instruments were administered to the sample: a questionnaire on the efficiency of vocational programs and a questionnaire on functional skills for individuals with intellectual disabilities (developed by the researcher). The study employed the descriptive correlational approach. Among the most significant findings, the level of efficiency of vocational programs and functional skills for individuals with intellectual disabilities in daycare centers in Riyadh, as perceived by the workers, was generally moderate. Furthermore, there were positive and statistically significant correlational relationships among all dimensions of the efficiency of vocational programs and the functional skills of individuals with intellectual disabilities from the workers' perspective. In light of the study's results, the researcher recommends establishing an internal monitoring system in daycare centers to ensure the translation of program plans into actual practices, along with precise follow-up of trainers' performance and the provision of continuous feedback. Additionally, she recommends forming partnerships with the private sector to provide genuine field training opportunities for persons with disabilities, and involving employers and families of individuals with disabilities in the design and follow-up of programs to ensure their relevance to the labor market.Downloads
