This study examines the familial address (vocative expressions) in the Qur’an through a doctrinal and analytical approach. It aims to analyze these verses in order to extract their theological and educational implications, clarify their relationship to Islamic values, and explore their impact on guiding individual behavior, strengthening family bonds, and promoting psychological and social stability. The study also seeks to contribute to the enrichment of Islamic and social studies through a specialized scholarly treatment of this topic. The research adopts an inductive-analytical method by systematically tracing the verses of familial address, examining their contexts, and analyzing their content in light of the principles of Islamic creed (ʿaqīdah). It investigates selected examples from the narratives of several prophets, including Jacob, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, and Luqman (peace be upon them), highlighting the rhetorical features employed in these addresses, particularly their balance between gentleness and rational persuasion. The study concludes that the call to monotheism (tawḥīd) constitutes the central theme of Qur’anic familial addresses, and that these addresses play a significant role in reinforcing faith-based values and establishing the family on sound doctrinal foundations. It further recommends strengthening faith-based upbringing within the family through the effective application of Qur’anic discourse, by developing educational curricula, promoting intra-family dialogue, and enhancing the complementary role of educational institutions in consolidating family values.Downloads
