Abstract

This study aimed to prepare a proposed vision to activate the role of the faculties of education at Taiz University to developing the values ​​of citizenship among the students, to identify the reality of the role of (faculty members, courses, student activities and colleges managements) to  developing the values ​​of citizenship among the students. The descriptive methodology of this study was used the questionnaire method that was applied to a simple random sample of the fourth level students in the three education colleges (Al-Habeil, Al-Turbah  and Al-Mekhlaf) of Taiz University. The study also relied on the interview method with (9) faculty members of those colleges. The result of the study shows the reality of the role of education colleges at Taiz University to developing the values ​​of citizenship which students got it a (weak) level.  The questionnaire was obtained shows a medium degree for the faculty members at the first level, then in the second level the courses got a medium degree, while the role of colleges managements got a weak degree in third level and the role of students activities comes at last rank.

 The output of the study " prepare a proposal conception and vision to activate the role of the education colleges at Taiz University" to developing the values ​​of citizenship among the students. The study recommended transforming the proposed vision for Implementation activities.
