Tafsir of Imam Al-Qurtubi in his comprehensive tafsir of the provisions of the Qur’an between obligation and obligation An analytical study

Abstract

This research aims to clarify what Al-Qurtubi committed himself to in the introduction to the tafsir of: “The Collector of the Rulings of the Qur’an” from the approach and method, and the extent of his commitment to that, and the importance of the research is that it enables the researcher to understand the meanings of the Qur’an correctly, by looking at the approach of Imam al-Qurtubi, through A scientific analytical study of its approach related to the tools and standards for understanding the Holy Qur’anic text.

    The researcher relied on the inductive approach in limiting the topics of the Qurtubi curriculum that he drew in his general introduction, and studying them as an applied analytical study through his direct tafsir of the Holy Qur’an.

     Through this research, important results were reached, the most important of which are:

• Imam Al-Qurtubi relied in his approach when tafsir it the verses of the Noble Qur’an on writing a brief comment.
• Al-Qurtubi neglected many of the stories of the commentators, and the news of historians, and mentioned issues that they contain from the reasons for revelation, and the strange tafsir.
• Al-Qurtubi transmitted from the salaf a lot of what was influenced by them in the tafsir and rulings, while attributing each saying to the one who said it; Fulfillment of his condition, with his commentary on what is transmitted from it.
• Imam al-Qurtubi mostly adhered to what he stipulated for himself in this tafsir.
