Abstract

The current study aimed to determine the requirements for developing secondary school students’ skills in light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The study adopted a forward-looking approach. Three questionnaires were applied based on the Delphi method aiming to reach participants' consensus on specifying the requirements. The sample consisted of (24) educational experts, representing (21) universities, from (11) countries. The results confirmed the importance of these requirements for developing secondary school students’ skills. They indicated very high consensus among the experts, from 90% to 100%, on both general requirements, and requirements related to goals of public secondary education, leadership and governance, educational environment, the teacher, the learner and evaluation. Thus, the study recommends paying attention to providing these requirements in order to develop the secondary school role in developing the students' skills in accordance to the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution
