A proposed perspective for developing environmental citizenship of the students at College of education at Saudi universities

Abstract

     The current study aimed to investigate the level of environmental citizenship among students of colleges of education at Saudi Universities, in light of educational literature. It also aimed to review some program plans of colleges of education to identify the role of these programs in developing environmental citizenship. It presents a suggested proposal for developing environmental citizenship among students of colleges of education. According to the results, the current study revealed a low level of environmental citizenship among students of colleges of education. Therefore, a suggested proposal is presented in the hope to contribute to the development of the role of the colleges of education in developing environmental citizenship among students.
