The Nature of Shiites and their Origin Critical Analytical Study

Abstract

     This paper aimed to study the nature of Shiites and their origin، which produced many articles that accounted for a large part of the cultural heritage، the importance of this paper was derived from the need of the scholarly library for a research specialized in defining Shiites، discussing the most important opinions related to its conventional name، the date of its inception، and the source of its article. The research found the difficulty of providing a comprehensive definition of the term “Shiites” Because of the strength of the development of the Shiite sect itself، and the many differences of its people، it stated the predominance of its use in the present era over the “Imāmiyyah،” and indicated that the sect was formed by the “Sabaʾiyyah” efforts at the end of the era of the Rightly-Guided Caliphate، then the enemies exploited its seed to achieve their destructive purposes.
