Abstract

     This study aims to examine the psychological empowerment and its relation with orienting towards the professional life. The study also explores the levels of psychological empowerment according to the academic specialization, experience in the extension work, and the stage of study in which the study sample is working. The sample of study consists of 220 students guides in AL Qassim. A psychological empowerment scale has been used which is (Spreitzer, 1995). The Scale of orientation towards the Professional Life has been prepared by researchers. The study results have shown a positive relationship between psychological empowerment and the orientation towards professional life. It is high among student female student guides. There are no differences of Significance in the levels of psychological empowerment according to changes in academic specialization, experience. There are differences of Significance in the levels of psychological empowerment of primary stage female student guides.
