A Field Study on Private Universities in the City of Taiz

This study aims to highlight the role played by the development of the human resources with its three components (Training – Motivation – leadership - Occupational Safety) to achieve the competitive advantage with its dimensions of (Clients – Quality). To achieve this goal, a field study has been carried out in private universities in Taiz city. The researchers have used the descriptive and analytical approach in the study.
For this purpose, a questionnaire has been designed as a tool for collecting data. The study population consists of all employees in the private universities in the city of Taiz. It consists of (321) employees, and (105) questionnaire have been distributed to the sample members. The researchers have used (SMSRT.PLS) and (IBM SPSS V.24) program.
The study has concluded the following most important results:
- There is positive correlation between the special dimensions of the independent variable and the dependent variable.
- There is a direct, high positive impact of human resources training in private universities as one of the dimensions of human resource development of achieving the competitive advantage.
- There is a direct, high positive impact of stimulating human resources in private universities as one of the dimensions of human resource development of achieving the competitive advantage.
- There is a direct, high positive impact of human resources leadership in private universities as one of the dimensions of human resource development of achieving the competitive advantage.
- The results of the study showed that human resources development in private universities are high. It comes on first rank after leadership, on second rank after training, on third rank after the incentive and on fourth rank after occupational safety.
The study has recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which are:
- The necessity for Heads of private universities in Taiz universities to pay attention to the development of the human resources and the development of its performance due to its impact on the competitive advantage.
- The necessity of continuous training of administrative staff in private universities.
- The necessity for private universities to be concerned with improving the physical and psychological work environment to enhance the achievement of the competitive advantage for employees.
- Attracting and selecting employees with positive and optimistic personalities and those with high consciences as they are sincerer and love their work and more connected than others.
