Evaluation of the science book for the ninth grade in the Republic of Yemen in the light of the concepts of nanotechnology

This study aimed to know the extent to which the science book for the ninth grade in the Republic of Yemen includes the concepts of nanotechnology, and its sample was represented from all the topics of the first and second part of the book, which amounted to (53) topics distributed over (16) study units, and to achieve the goal of this study the researcher used a tool that consisted of a list With the concepts of nanotechnology, it included (30) concepts that included the three fields of science (chemistry, physics, and biology) that were prepared after reviewing the educational literature and previous studies related to the subject of this study and then knowing its validity For the purpose of analyzing the content of the book, and collecting data in its light, according to the descriptive approach in the style of content analysis, and the results revealed that the Science Book dealt with concepts in a very small percentage, as it reached (30%) explicitly, while it amounted to Implicitly, the researcher recommended the necessity of including the concepts of nanotechnology in the basic education curricula while reconsidering the content of the general education curricula for the branches of basic sciences (chemistry, physics, and biology), and enriching and developing them in the light of the Nanotechnology is important, and based on the results of the analysis process, the researcher developed a proposed plan to include the concepts of nanotechnology in the content of science curricula, especially the ninth grade curriculum.
