The method of using social electronic means of communication and its relation to the affiliation of university female students in Saudi Arabia

Abstract

The study aims to identify the relationship between using university students to electronic social media and its axes (the motives of using social networks, the use of social networks, awareness of using social networks, the pros and cons of social networks), and identify the affiliation level and its dimensions (national affiliation, family affiliation, friends affiliation). The research was applied on a purpose sample (235) university students. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach.

The study reached a set of results which were: There was a positive correlation at the level of (0.01) between between using university students to electronic social media and its axes and identify the affiliation level and its dimensions (national affiliation, family affiliation, friends affiliation). also the study showed significant differences between the average university students degrees in use the electronic social media and its axes (the motives of using social networks, the use of social networks, awareness of using social networks, the pros and cons of social networks) according to the difference:(Number of hours of daily use in favor Use for more than 4 hours, Means of use of communication sites in favor Use lap and mobile together, Number of shared groups in favor Participants in (10: 50) program, Number of favorite pages in favor Always user.

The study recommended that: consolidation Enhancing citizenship among the youth by spreading the national spirit, deepening the spirit of belonging to the causes and needs of the homeland, preserving its entity, and preparing to defend it in case it is endangered, whether it is an internal or external threat aimed at its exploitation and sovereignty. Also increasing the awareness of university youth, especially females, about the reasons that threaten the manifestations and indicators of national belonging through the establishment of seminars to guide their ideas towards productive work contributing to the building of society and warning of ideas that help to demolish the community.
