Imam Malik’s doctrinal investigations and his approach to them

Abstract

This research aims to study the doctrinal investigations of Imam Malik and his approach to it. The researcher relied on three approaches: the inductive approach, the analytical approach, and the deductive approach. The research included an introduction, three topics, and a conclusion. Its introduction included the research problem, its importance, the reasons for its selection, its objectives, the method used in it, its procedures, previous studies, and its structure. As for the first topic, it dealt with the definition of Imam Malik. The second topic dealt with the features and rules of belief of Imam Malik. The talk of the third topic was about Imam Malik's position on the controversy and the emergence of sects. Then the researcher reached a number of results related to the subject of the research, the most prominent of which are: Imam Malik’s veneration of the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and his distance from the methods of the people of controversy and rhetoric, and that the follower of the sayings and reports of Imam Malik al-Aqidah notices his full commitment to the origins of the imams of the righteous predecessors in all Belief issues.
