Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the level of psychological anxiety among Qassim University students in light of the spread of the emerging Corona pandemic (Covid-19), and to detect the differences between the sample members according to the following variables: (age, gender, specialization, and academic level), and the descriptive analytical approach was used, and the research sample reached (528) male and female students, including (257) males, (271) females, and the psychological anxiety scale resulting from the (Covid-19) pandemic was used (prepared by the researcher), and the research reached a number of results, the most important of which are: The level of psychological anxiety among university students towards the emerging Corona virus (Covid-19) was generally low, and the level of emotional and behavioral anxiety was average, and the results of the research revealed that there were statistically significant differences in the total degree of psychological anxiety according to the gender variable, in favor of males, as well as differences according to the specialization variable with regard to the two dimensions of anxiety (cognitive, social) due to the benefit of students of natural sciences majors, While there were no differences due to the variable of age and academic level.
