Problems facing female student teachers at the Faculty of Education (Mekhlaf branch) Taiz University during field application

The current research aimed to identify the problems facing female student teachers at the Faculty of Education (Mekhlaf branch) University of Taiz during field application. To achieve this aim, the descriptive (survey) method was used, and a questionnaire was built to measure the degree of severity of the problems, which included five dimensions: Problems related to: (the faculty - the cooperating school - the academic supervisor – the cooperating teacher - the student teacher), and after verifying its validity and reliability, it was applied to a random sample consisting of (57) female student teachers. including (37) in the Qur’anic sciences major and (20) in the English language major. The results revealed that the degree of severity of the problems facing the female student teachers during field application was moderate overall with regard to the problems a whole, and with regard to the five dimensions. The problems related to the cooperating school came in the first rank, followed by the problems related to the faculty, then the problems related to the academic supervisor, then the problems related to the female student teacher, while the problems related to the cooperating teacher came in the last rank. The results also revealed that female student teachers in the English language major face fewer problems than Female student teachers in the Qur’anic Sciences major during field application regarding the problem in general, and in the dimension of problems related to the faculty. In light of the research results, the researcher recommended a set of recommendations and suggestions.Downloads
