The study aimed to demonstrate the concept of Libya's democratic transition after the 2011 revolution, the position of the League of Arab States and neighboring States regarding it, and the positive results expected of it, which are in the interest of the Libyan State. Consequently, the research problem is that Libya's democratic transition is a complex process that needs strong foundations in order to produce positive results that rebuild the Libyan State and strengthen its solid foundation. Therefore, one of the most important pillars of the democratic transition is the role played by the League of Arab States and neighboring States with Libya and its impact on Libya's democratic transition and on its achievement of the expected positive results of this transition. Actually, the researcher has adopted the analytical-descriptive approach in data collection and analysis. Thus, the research has concluded a set of findings, of which the most important is that Libya's democratic transition is based on efficient political leadership. Democracy is embraced as a strategic choice, a commitment, and a national pledge. In addition, Libya has faced many obstacles to democratic transition. The research also described the position of the League of Arab States in support of Libya's revolution and democratic transition. Finally, the researcher recommended that Arab States should be supportive of Libya's democratic transition and provide all forms of political support for an optimal transition, moving away from divisions and supporting the conflicting parties to achieve their interests, and intervening under the umbrella of the League of Arab States.Downloads
