Measuring Saudi mothers’ awareness of promoting the concept of digital citizenship for their children from the perspective of how to work with groups

Abstract

The current research aimed to achieve a main goal: determining the degree of Saudi mothers’ awareness of the concept of digital citizenship. The following sub-goals emerged from this main goal: (Determining the degree of Saudi mothers’ awareness of the concept of digital access, determining the degree of Saudi mothers’ awareness of the concept of digital communication, determining the degree of Saudi mothers’ awareness of the concept of digital responsibilities, identifying the most important contemporary challenges to developing Saudi mothers’ awareness of the concept of digital citizenship, reaching To proposals for methods of developing Saudi mothers’ awareness of the concept of digital citizenship from the perspective of how to work with groups. The research belongs to the descriptive research style, and was based on applying an electronic questionnaire to a random sample of Saudi mothers in the city of Riyadh, which amounted to (438) individuals. It was also based on applying an electronic questionnaire to All faculty members specialized in community service, from the rank of assistant professor to the rank of professor, at the College of Social Work, Princess Nourah bint AbdulRahman University, where they number (10) members. The results of the research resulted in the existence of a statistically significant direct relationship at a significant level (0.01) between marital status as well as The educational level of mothers and methods for developing Saudi mothers’ awareness of enhancing the concept of digital citizenship for their children from the perspective of the method of working with groups. The results also showed that faculty members agreed on the importance of the methods of working with groups that were mentioned in the research form in developing mothers’ awareness of enhancing the concept of digital communication for their children, as the experts explained. The importance of children sharing their opinion on the problems resulting from digital communication and methods for solving them, as well as the importance of educating and guiding children, and this demonstrates the importance of dialogue between family members.
