Cyberbullying and its relationship to self-esteem among students of the Faculty of Arts at Taif University

This study aimed to identify cyberbullying and its relationship to self-esteem among students of the Faculty of Arts at Taif University. The researcher used the descriptive correlational approach. The researcher chose a simple random of (200) female students from the Faculty of Arts at Taif University. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher built a scale for bullying. Electronic and self-esteem scale prepared by Al-Naimat (2016), and the results found that there is a statistically significant inverse correlation between the level of cyberbullying and the level of self-esteem among students of the Faculty of Arts at Taif University, and the results showed that the most common method of cyberbullying is the method of electronic attack followed by electronic harassment electronic exclusion and then electronic stalking, the results also did not show that there were statistically significant differences in the level of cyberbullying among students of the Faculty of Arts at Taif University, due to the variable of specialization. In light of the results of the overall study, the researcher recommended the need to develop the concept of self-esteem among students from an early age, include means of preventing cyberbullying in school curricula, and conduct awareness workshops on bullying, its harms, and the problems resulting from it in a number of awareness fields. It also suggested conducting a number of studies related to the issue of bullying, as an impact of a counseling program that addresses the psychological problems resulting from bullying.Downloads
