The study tends to elucidate Fadl Abbas's perspective on abrogating the recitation and criticizing it in light of of Ahlu-AlSunnah and Aljamah beliefs. The study aims to present Fadl's viewpoint on abrogating the recitation, elucidate his distinctions from Ahlu-AlSunnah and Aljamah in this context, and address his claims. The researcher adopts inductive, descriptive, and critical method. The most significant findings are: that the doctrine of Fadl Abbas regarding the abrogation of the recitation is an absolute prohibition with failing to have any evidence to support his claims and his motivation was his belief that the abrogation contradicts with God Almighty's responsibility for preserving the Qur'an. In addition, Exaggeration in matters is a cause for error, as it is what led Fadl to challenge authentic hadiths. Also, Ahlu-AlSunnah and Aljamah prove abrogation of all three kinds, including abrogation of recitation and their approach is based on moderation, acceptance of evidence, and submission to it. One of the research's most important recommendations is to pay close attention to studying modern scholars' perspectives on various issues and contrasting them with the truths of the Qur'an and the Sunnah in order to protect faith and prevent suspicions.Downloads
